About Phil Hobby
Phil has been in the professional photography business since 1992, working from his home-based studio in Benton, Arkansas as well as shooting on location throughout the Saline and Pulaski county areas. Throughout the year, Phil attends conventions, trade shows, seminars, and classes to remain current in the latest photographic technology in order to provide customers with the highest-quality products. He recently opened a new studio on Hwy 5 North in Benton between Lost Pizza and Hobby Lobby.
When he isn't snapping action shots on the baseball field or setting up studio-quality photo shoots at the Capitol, Phil enjoys spending his free time camping at Arkansas' various state parks, taking friends and family to Lake Norrell for grilled food and inner-tubing, and trekking across the Natural State in search of hard-to-find waterfalls, local wildlife, and stunning landscapes. Phil attends First Baptist Church in Benton, where he often volunteers in the audio/video room to ensure the technical aspects of the Sunday services run smoothly. He the proud father of two wonderful girls, a son-in-law, and two spoiled grandchildren.
Phil is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Southwest Professional Photographers Association, the Society of Sports and Event Photographers, and the Arkansas Professional Photographers Association. He recently won the Fuji Masterpiece Award for his work.
